St. Cosmas Catholic Church, Benja Parish is a vibrant Catholic community located in Benja, Ogun State, Nigeria. The parish falls under the jurisdiction of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, which was established on October 24, 1997.
Named after Saint Cosmas, one of the twin martyrs and patron saints of physicians, our parish has grown from a small mission station to a thriving faith community serving the spiritual needs of Catholics in Benja and surrounding areas.
Over the years, St. Cosmas Catholic Church has been blessed with dedicated priests and religious who have worked tirelessly to build a community rooted in prayer, sacraments, and service.
Today, under Rev. Fr. Christopher Adesanya, the parish continues to flourish with various ministries, organizations, and outreach programs that serve both the spiritual and temporal needs of our parishioners.

The Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta was established on October 24, 1997, from the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lagos. The diocese covers the Egba, Yewa, Awori, Egun, and Anago divisions of Ogun State.
The diocese has grown from 9 parishes and 11 priests in 1998 to over 60 parishes with more than 90 priests serving approximately 100,000 Catholics.
